Oman Tour 2012 Under 13 Team

Muscat: The visiting Under-13 Emirates Cricket Training team from Dubai on their recent tour to Oman did well to win three of their seven matches played against U-13 teams from the Academies in Muscat.

In the first match at the Municipality Ground No.3 the visitors took on Muscat Cricket Coaching Centre (MCCC) in a 30 over match. Electing to bat ECT-Dubai were restricted to 154 for 5 off 30 overs. MCCC in reply raced to 156 for the loss of five wickets off 13 overs

Brief scores: ECT - Dubai 154 for the loss of 5 wickets (Mahdin Khan 29, Abdul Wasay 23 and Dheeraj Devarajan 21; Mohit Badiyani 2/34) lost to MCCC 156 for the loss of 5 wickets (Mayukh Misra 55 and Paritosh Bhatt 36).

In the second match ECT-Dubai were completely outplayed by an Under-13 Darsait Cricket Academy (DCA) team losing by a margin of nine wickets. Batting first ECT-Dubai scored 167 for 5 at the end of their quota of 30 overs.  DCA requiring 168 for victory got to their target in 20 overs with skipper Anshuman top scoring for his team.

Brief scores: ECT – Dubai 167 for the loss of 5 wickets (Dheeraj Devarajan 40, Rohan Manikandan 22no and Prateek 20no) lost to DCA 168 for the loss of 1 wicket (Anshuman 67no, Bharat 29no and Mohsin 28).

At the same venue the visitors ECT-Dubai took on MCCC in their third match.
Electing to bat MCCC piled up 232 of 29.3 overs thanks to a top score from skipper Prathyush. Requiring 233 for a win ECT - Dubai did well to make 207 for the loss of nine wickets at the end of 30 overs.

Brief scores: MCCC 232 all out off 29.3 overs (Prathyush 65, Anish 50 and Vishal 33; Dheeraj Devarajan 3/43) defeated ECT - Dubai 207 for the loss of 9 wickets (Sowrabh Kesari 73 and Ahad Shakil 30; Yash M. 2/45).

First win
ECT-Dubai recorded their first win on tour when they defeated the Al Qurum Academy Under-13 team by 40 runs in a T20 match played at the Municipality Ground No.3 at Al Amerat. Invited to bat ECT-Dubai notched up 162 for 6 at the end of the 20 allotted overs. Al Qurum Academy in reply were restricted to 122 for 7 at the end of 20 overs.

Brief scores: ECT-Dubai 162 for the loss of 6 wickets (Ahad Shakil 32, Rohan Manikandan 32, Dheeraj Devarajan 27 and Mohammed Hassan 22; Harish Kunju 3/31 and Amarty A. Naik 2/29) beat Al Qurum Academy 122 for the loss of 7 wickets (Govindarajan 25 and Amarty A. Naik 24; Ahad Shakil 2/10 and Mahdin Khan 2/24).

In an afternoon at the same venue ECT-Dubai went on to win their second match when they got the better of the Al Qurum Academy by 25 runs in another T20 match. ECT-Dubai batting first scored 156 for 7. Requiring a fraction of under eight runs per over Al Qurum Academy were contained to 131 for the loss of 8 wickets at the end of 20 overs.

Brief scores: ECT-Dubai 156 for the loss of 7 wickets off 20 overs (Sowrabh Kesari 37, Ali Gulzar 27 and Abdul Wasey 26; Mohammed Zaid 2/17 and Sridhar Vasu 2/18) beat Al Qurum Academy 131 for the loss of 8 wickets (Greeshan Ramesh 28 and Sridhar Vasu 20; Dheeraj Devarajan 3/37 and Ahad Shakil 2/15).

ECT-Dubai crushed
ECT-Dubai suffered their fourth loss in the 30 over format when they were crushed by the Darsait Cricket Academy (DCA). Invited to bat ECT-Dubai recorded their highest score when they made 209 for 6 at the end of 30 overs. With contributions from the top order DCA in reply reached their target with 26 deliveries to spare.

Brief scores: ECT-Dubai 209 for the loss of 6 wickets off 30 overs (Mahdin Khan 53, Sowrabh Kesari 43, Vidyarth Shekar 26no and Ahad Shakil 23; Vikram Nabira 2/38) lost to Darsait Cricket Academy 210 for the loss of 3 wickets off 25.2 overs (Vikram Nabira 58no, Mohsin Varya 57no and Ashton D'Souza 45).

Last match
ECT-Dubai in their last outing in Muscat recorded a consolation 30 run  win against the Gulf Cricket Academy U-13 team in a 30 over match played at the same venue. Opting to bat ECT-Dubai were bowled out for 166 off 25.2 overs set a target of 167 Gulf Cricket Academy in reply were bowled out for 136 off 22.3 overs.

Brief scores: ECT-Dubai 166 all out off 25.2 overs (Vidyarth Shekar 30; Srinketh Sajeevan 3/17, Isham Iqbal 2/9, Sufiyaan 2/12 and Sushruth Sriram 2/28) defeated Gulf Cricket Academy 136 all out off 22.3 overs (Hammood 35, Sushruth Sriram 26 and Srinketh Sajeevan 22; Abdul Wasey 4/38 and Ahad Shakil 3/27).
